In Nijmegen, The Netherlands, I reside together with my wife and our 4 sons. For many years now I am working passionately as a sports physical therapist. Alongside, my interest in woodworking gained traction in 2020, and by the end of 2022 I launched the MrJD-WoodWorks website. This enables me to share some creative work, gather clients and build a network of friends. Because, in the end, it only makes sense when we can share each other’s passion and effort. Also, it’s just way more fun that way.

While gradually developing JD WoodWorks my focal point is turned more and more into working with premium hardwoods. With my love for natural elements and beauty I intend to respect and elevate those aspects of the materials I work with. This results into more organically shaped and natural looking builds, non-toxic finishes and beautiful woodgrain and patterns. And I am convinced that most of my clients can truly appreciate this approach.
